History of the Akashic Records?
The term "Akashic Records" was popularized by theosophist Helena Petrovna Blavatsky and comes from the Sanskrit word "akasha," which means "ether" or "space." In Buddhism, the concept of the Akashic Records is referred to as the "Book of Life" or "Book of the Dead." In this tradition, the Akashic Records are said to contain the record of every action and intention of every being in the universe. This idea of the Akashic Records as a universal information system has been popularized in recent years by spiritual teachers like Dolores Cannon, who wrote about the Akashic Records in her books as we as popular channeler, Lee Carroll.
